*First off...our computer died...but we got a new one
*No the bathroom isn't done yet...we were in 'negotiations' and are now ready to resume work :)
*4-H cooking started (I teach this class)
*4-H pig...that's right...it's that time of year again-Becca actually gets her pig this month
*Aleyna made the choice to quit karate and start dance...and she loves it
*Irish days...always a big to-do here in Lakeview, lol
*Both Kaitlyn and Aleyna danced at Irish days
*Rebecca turned 13! Big deal for her...
*I (Diana) got to go on a field trip with Tim and Aleyna over to Klamath Falls to watch a play and see the Air Force base
*Did some crafts around the house
*Had a great snow day and even made a snowman
*The weather started to get rather nice :) So we started getting ready for spring break....then is snowed :(
*We took a little trip over spring break and had quite an adventure
We took a trip with my parents and two of my brothers and their families to the Redwoods. Look at the size of these trees!
And our guide was Aleyna...she obviously was becoming impatient with our shenanigans.
Timothy was camouflaged...can you find him?
This was my dad and the fam out on a pier in horrible windy and rainy weather on the Oregon coast. But did that stop us from playing in the rain? Heck no!
We took a drive out to 'Fern Canyon' where Jurassic Park was filmed, and on the side of the road was this fellow...
Family photo opps :)
Then on our way out we came across this tid-bit
Just a bit of a land slide that covered the road...kind of creepy- we found ourselves stuck for about three hours at a campground that was close by. We had food, warm clothes and lovely weather.
Did I mention that the campground was right on the coast?
Luckily, a park ranger came to rescue us :) we had the very rare opportunity to drive out on the sandy beach to safety. We only got stuck once...but letting a little air out of our tires fixed the problem- what a fun adventure we had that day.
Here is the land slide from our drive on the beach-
A quick stop to say hello to Paul Bunyon
It is always a good idea to take any and every photo op you can when there is a whale riding mermaid present
A quick side trip on a scenic drive in Prairie Creek state park
The kids almost got sucked into this crazy vortex
A fun hike through the 'Trees of Mystery' forest then an awesome ride to the tops of the redwoods in a tram
It's like they made this just for us- the kids got grossed out by the kissing picture we took just after-parenting...we are doing it right!
