Sunday, The Final Frontier

Or just the final Sunday before Christmas....why does it seem so stressful to have Church and callings and meetings AND responsibilities on the last Sunday before Christmas? Ahh, but the stress is slowly subsiding....slooowly.

Hoping all of you have a fantastic final week before the BIG day! I know I am going to be busy!
I think it is high time for me to watch Christmas Vacation, I need a good laugh! "Fixed the newel post!"

In other news...3 days till 'the' brother comes home, 5 days till we go to grandmas, 4 days till school gets out and a partridge in a pair tree.

Bed Time!!!

It is 8:00 and my kiddos are determined to put on a show for me before they go to bed. Ah, shows! They are always a sight! Sometimes they are delightful and they crack me up and other times they are too long and I am glad when the performance comes to an end. Though tonight I am promised a spectacular performance by ALL four of the children complete with costumes and songs. I wish you could all be here for this amazing, exciting, delightful theatrical performance by the most talented Banks children! If you miss it, I am sure there will be another one soon enough!:)

In other news: My just younger brother Daniel comes home in 7 days! Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas

Just asking for simple prayers for my baby brother and some terrible trials in his life right now. I have a testimony of the power of prayer. I want our family to be together for Christmas, all of us! This is my Christmas wish, your prayers will help!

Dear Oprah...

Each year you do a "My favorite things" show. I don't ever watch your show, but I hear about the great things you give away from the radio guys... I don't have your means to give such expensive things to friends and family, even though those I care about deserve the best! So I thought I would share what some of my favorite things are, they are mostly free things (because that is what I can afford) and probably only important to me. However, I would like to share them with you.

*Christmas trees lit up at night with all other lights off, I like to lay under them and look up. Beautiful.
*Big snowflakes
*Cutting out snowflakes with my kids...every one is different.(snowflakes and kids)
*Baking cookies, and eating the dough.
*Coloring in coloring books.
*Chocolate!
*Naps
*Reading a good book with a cup of cocoa in front of a roaring fire.
*Walking through stores, without buying anything.
*Character socks...that's right!
*Warm blankets.
*Movies with the family.
*Movies with the hubby.
*Movies by myself!
*Traveling to see family and friends.
*Tuna melts and pepsi.
*Pictures of my kids
*Making up songs
*My kids making up songs...don't know where they get it from.:)
*Back rubs
*Telephone conversations with the best of my friends.
*Netflix
*Nutcrackers
*Baking cakes and decorating them.
*Pillow talk

More to come soon, I promise. Just thought you might like to know!

Sincerely,

Diana Banks

Things are a movin'

Merry Christmas!!!!!! Our tree is up and the house is almost completely decorated. However there is still so much to do to get ready for Christmas in our new house......laundry! Why oh why does it always come down to laundry? I hate it! I have decided that everyone gets to pick out their fave pair of pants and 2 shirts (long sleeve of course...I am NOT evil) one set of pajamas and 2 pairs of unders. Obviously we will need Church clothes, so those may also be kept. The rest of the clothes will go in a large pile and we will light it on fire and roast mallows and make smores....I think it is brilliant! My family...not so hot on the idea! So tell me, how do you deal with all the laundry in your life?

In other news: Shopping almost done and only 18 days till my brother is home for Christmas from the Mid-East!
