What a way to start the week

You'll love Kaitlyn...she's an artist.

It is times like this when I hate not having a chance to post pictures! Our sweet 2 year old Kaitlyn has a gift! She makes the most b-e-a-utiful art....on out walls, doors, dressers, fridge and today the floor. At least once a month she is doing something BIG! After we moved in, while unpacking she found the nail polish and decorated her outfit, the floor and my dresser, her pants were plain denim.... A few months later she braved the un-sturdy shelf to get to my foundation and added a little bling to our drab closet. The twins got a new bunk bed and she made a mural for Tim with red crayon! The white wall seemed rather boring by their bedroom door so she added some circles with old fashioned pencil, it was lovely nonetheless. TODAY Dave thought she came back upstairs, but she had not. Instead she took it upon herself to create a one of a kind masterpiece, much like one of Pollocks, and used whatever paint color she could find, mostly green and pink, and went-to-town on the floor in the spare bedroom. In her defense the paint was available and had no upcoming projects to be a part of....and the room is referred to as the 'craft room' so I am sure she was just giving it a much needed makeover. Dave found her, and the rule is, if you find it you clean it up! The problem is that she is so dang cute when she gets caught, a huge smile graces her face and she simply says "Hi dad." "Hi mom" and you know it isn't worth it to get mad at something so sweet. Yes the mess is still there and yes I get to clean it up. I suppose the best thing to dwell on is the thought that one day after she is rich from her priceless works of art, she can buy us new carpet. Until then....thanks mom for letting me borrow your steam cleaner!

In other news.....count down for the wuppy dog, T - 6 days. His name... Guster Red Achilles Banks. Gus for short, please don't ask how we came up with the name. But I would love to one day say Achilles....heel! lol

  1. Oh my! I don't look forward to those days. I'm sure you have the cleaning stuff down to a T. Soooo when it does happen I'll be calling you for good tips to get stuff off the walls and out of the carpet! I finally got around to catching up on everyone's blog. I'm so glad to hear that you guys are doing well and hope that you are all feeling better! I miss you lots! Lots of love!
