All that work.....

Well here we are, it's Wednesday and I am exhausted. I know, it's only the middle of the week, but it is true, I am beat! I have no motivation to do much of anything, though I know I will guilt myself into it soon enough. The laundry it taunting me at this very moment! So regardless of how I feel and what I would really love to do...I will probably end up doing the necessary stuff in the end.

I have no pictures of the happenings of the week to post as I have not found the cord that connects the camera to the computer....the joys of moving! Monday was Labor Day and here in Lakeview that is a BIG deal. There was a fair all weekend, the rodeo, demolition derby and on Monday there was the parade. The awesome thing is that the parade goes right in front of our house, we only need to step out our front door and happily grasp the air for falling candy. Brilliant! Rebecca was in the parade on the Library float, she thought it was pretty great! After the parade that took our breath away...especially the cardboard recycling truck...it was beautiful, we headed up to Heart Lake. A little fishing, a little relaxing and a hike that took much longer than we anticipated! In the end we had a great time and even brought some fish home to smoke up later.

Yesterday I spent the day cleaning, cooking and baking for our special back to school dinner. We ate roast, twice baked potatoes, homemade rolls, jello with whip cream, fruits and veggies. However due to circumstances of the day I was not the happiest mom! My dream dinner, toast, family goal discussion and back to school fashion show did NOT turn out like I had imagined...ah well! With or without my ideal night before school, it started anyway. Rebecca is now a 4th grader and once again she is in a new school with new kids....she is so much braver than I am! Her teacher is Mrs. Ortwine, she seemed nice enough this morning when we met. School gets out at 2:30 this afternoon and I admit it can't come soon enough! I want to know all about her first day and whether or not she met any new friends, I am sure I worry more than she does.

Well....all that work, now on to the laundry! Happy Wednesday!

  1. Wow! You're such a good mom, preparing a feast and all that stuff for the night before back to school.
Lakeview has a demolition derby? We might have to come stay with you next time around. I keep telling Grant he has to see one. They have one every year in Vernal, and I LOVED going to the demolition derby!
